That’s right. The Corsair Journal is back.
It’s been about a year since I made my last entry on my journal at Livejournal. When I made that entry, I thought I was done ‘blogging’ (I hate that word) for good, but I discovered two things:
1) I missed it. A lot.
2) Facebook is a very poor substitute for a real journal.
So I’m back. I’d be more verbose, and maybe write more, but I’m really tired. And I have to go up to Jacksonville in the morning to take my stepson to college.

So, if you can RSS feed these posts to LJ, will they only go to your LJ account? Is that how you had it set up before, or were you posting directly to your Corsair2 account?
Ya know, it wasn’t more than two days ago that I looked at Corsair2 and thought “he should really be doing this again.” I’ve been following Duncan via your FL, but I missed your occasional cogent repartee. Even through all that stuff about health care, the commentary was dynamic and interesting.
Welcome back.

I had been posting on LJ directly, using LJ’s online posting tools. Conman has a feeder that feeds his Boston Diaries entries to his LJ account.

Thankies.
Until now, I was making my posts to The Corsair Journal on Livejournal directly on Livejournal. And Conman found a really neat plug-in for WordPress (the blogging software I’m using on my ISP) that will cross-post to my journal whenever I make a post here.
Now I have my own site at an ISP (1&1 Internet). I have complete control over how my site looks, the bandwidth I can use, and just about everything else. And WordPress is frickin’ cool, yo.
The only thing I’m really worried about is losing touch with the people I’d friended and communicated with on Livejournal–which is why I’m cross-posting there.
