No, really.
Butterfly and I have worked all day long moving appliances around. I rented an open trailer from U-Haul; we got a new washer, dryer, refrigerator, and big-screen TV–all from Butterfly’s ex’s house.
What the heck; he won’t be needing them for about 10 to 15 years…

Aah, yes, Daughterofodhin. My wife’s ex ran a Ponzi scheme along the lines of Bernie Madoff’s, soliciting investors though lies and misrepresentations–only he did it under the auspices of a toy company, claiming to have relationships with Apple and Microsoft and Disney to solicit investments. All-told, his firm took investors for about $20 million.
He is in the FBI holding facility in Miami awaiting his trial on wire and mail fraud charges. He will likely be convicted and sentenced to 10-15 years of Federal time, an unknown amount of state time, and restitution payments that will likely continue the rest of his life.
Yeah. He done went down in flames.
And y’know what? I know few people on this planet who deserve their fate more richly than Butterfly’s ex. He was a bad, bad man.
